They’re very expensive, but no other glove will give you the protection that these will. They can retail from $300 up to $500 and even more if you personalize them. Champions like Saul Canelo Alvarez, Manny Pacquiao, and Floyd Mayweather use Winning for training.

Grants boxing gloves

They’re used by fighters who need hand protection but still want to feel the impact of their punches, not as pillow-type gloves like the Winnings. Grants are extremely well constructed. Look pretty good as well.

The quality and craftsmanship are top-notch.
Fighters who wear them are Floyd Mayweather, Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko, Andre Berto, Bernard Hopkins, and many others.

Floyd Mayweather used to wear them a lot in training and I see David Lemieux always training with the same pair of Grants, we all know that Lemieux is a big puncher, so I guess these gloves can take some beating and last.

Cleto Reye boxing gloves

Cleto Reyes is made in Mexico and they’re worldwide known as a top-quality brand.
They are hand-made and hand-stitched, and it shows.

When you first open a package of Reyes gloves, the smell of quality leather surrounds you and you know that there’s going to be an awesome pair of gloves inside.

Feel very natural when put onto your hands. They’re considered to be “puncher’s gloves” because there is less padding on the knuckle area, unlike the Winnings, Grants, and Everlast.

The Reyes are very soft; you can feel your knuckles through the padding and this translates to more punching power with less hand protection.
Reyes gloves are used by boxers like Juan Manuel Marquez, Manny Pacquiao, Marcos Maidana, Amir Khan, and numerous other top fighters, not known for having a history with hand problems.

Everlast boxing gloves

Everlast is that kind of company that most people think about when it comes to boxing. They have been around for almost 100 years and create quality pro-fight gloves.

More and more professionals are using them now in the ring because they offer better construction and are of higher overall quality. They’re in-between “pillows” and the “puncher’s gloves,” giving them a nice balance in protection and punching power.

Many champions used to wear Everlast in the ring, names like Miquel Cotto, Andre Ward, Nonito Donaire, and even Saul Canelo Alvarez.

Rival boxing gloves

Rival is a brand that’s popular in Canada. It’s rapidly becoming more well-known worldwide.
Rival gloves look great, with an awesome logo and a slick construction. They look more futuristic like they’re ahead of their time.

I have never tried a pair of Rivals, but from what I’ve heard, they’re terrific gloves offering really good support and are very safe for your hands, and still provide pretty good punching power.

They’re like a blend of all different types of gloves, well-padded but with power.
Rival has impressively been able to blend the two.

They have been on an ascendant curve since the great Ukrainian champion Vasily Lomachenko started a partnership with the Rival brand that lasted a few years; they made a special line for the Loma products and earned a lot of notoriety by doing so.

Venum boxing gloves

Since 2020 Lomachenko has switched to the Venum brand, which is more popular in Thai Boxing, but even so, champions like Jorge Linares and Vasily Lomachenko are using them now, and have specially created lines of products with their names.
